Poorvi · Unit 5 · 58 min
Bravehearts
Courage deserves language that is accurate as well as moving. This unit compares tribute, poem, biography, speech, and evidence note to show how purpose changes form. You will distinguish admiration from unsupported hero-making, trace chronology and historical context, analyse tone and rhetorical patterns, and examine how collective effort complicates the idea of a single hero. Language work includes active and passive voice, precise attribution, parallel structure, and formal register. Writing and oracy tasks ask you to create an evidence-based profile, deliver a respectful commemoration, and respond carefully when sources disagree. Three original practice texts centre rescue, public service, and historical inquiry without borrowing from the Poorvi selections.
